Cloning Your H Card

What Do I Need?

Cloning an image to an H card can be accomplished with both the programmer and the unlooper. To avoid confusion, I'll provide information on both methods:

Cloning With the ISO 7816 Programmer:

These instructions assume that you have removed any script from your card. Follow these five easy steps, carefully, and you'll have no problem cloning your card...

1. Insert card to be cloned in your programmer. Start BasicH 3.1a and insure that it is in Normal mode.

2. Click on One-Step Clean.

3. Click the Folder (Open Eprom Image) Icon and Locate and Select the valid image (*.bin) file that you want to clone to your card.  Now, click OPEN .

4. Click the Lightning Bolt icon on the Right side of the BasicH toolbar. This will write the good image to your card's Eprom.

5. Now, One-Step Clean again.

That's it! The card is now ready to be scripted...

Cloning With the WildThing II Unlooper:

Cloning with an unlooper is a bit simpler than with a programmer, because it is not necessary to remove the script on the card. Follow these steps, carefully, and you'll have no problem cloning your card...

If you don't have BasicU 0.6, download it from here: BasicU06.zip. Unzip it with WinZip.

1. Insert your H card into the unlooper. Start BasicU 0.6, configure it to the comm port that your unlooper is connected to and insure that it is in Normal mode.

2. Click the Folder (Open Eprom Image) Icon and Locate and Select the valid image (*.bin) file that you want to clone to your card.  Now, click OPEN .

3. Click the Ambulance icon twice, or until you see Total Bytes Different = 0.

4. Click the Lightning Bolt icon and then click Yes to confirm. This will write the cleaned image to your card's Eprom.

That's it! The card is now ready for programming...
